DIY QAV180 Mini FPV Quadcopter

QAV 180 is a mini FPV Quadcopter, and most FPV lovers like it very much and most people choose QAV to DIY a FPV quadcopter. Next let me introduce the QAV 180 and how to choose the materials for DIY a FPV quadcopter.

QAV180

The QAV 180 is a small Quadcopter airframe, so we always called it Mini FPV quadcopter, the QAV180 only have a 180mm size airframe. It is designed around 4″ props and 1806 size motors with 2300kv and up, the frame is designed to mount a 26mm FPV camera and the frame also includes a mounting plate to mount standard 32mm board cameras at a fixed 20 degree angle.

Form the DIY QAV 180 FPV materials, we can know everything are well, but choose motors and lipo battery is very important. QAV180 advised 4x RX1806-14 2300Kv motors, and lipo batteries use 1300mAh 3s or 1300mAh 4s. How can we choose motors and battery?

Yo can use 4x Lumenier RX1806-14 2300Kv motors, and QAV180 advise to use Lumenier RX1806-14 2300Kv motors. Then how to choose a lipo battery, I think a battery is very important, we should choose a high capacity(to fly longer), high discharge(to fly faster), light weight(to fly longer and faster). So I recommend you to use Gens ace 1300mAh 11.1V 25C 3S1P Lipo Battery Pack. Why do I recommend you to choose Gens 1300Mah 3s lipo ? We should consider whether the lipo battery fit in our motors and QAV 180 ? We can from weight, discharge, capacity and voltage to consider it.

Form the Parameters of Gens ace 1300mAh 3s lipo, we can know the capacity is 1300mAh, voltage is 11.1v(3s), discharge is 25C(Max discharge is 50C) and weight is only 115g, its volume is very small. So we can know Gens ace 1300mAh 3s lipo is very fit in QAV180.
